An easy guide to
installing poker software on a pc. Most poker sites offer a software download to their
players that enables them to play poker online over the
internet.
The software download is always FREE to use BUT the
only problem with this is that new players can get a bit
confused when trying to acheive the download.
The software download is very easy to acheive, so long as
you take you time and read the info on the pop up boxes that
will appear on your computer screen.
STARTING
THE DOWNLOAD PROCESS
There will be a link or
an icon or button on the poker website that you will need
to select in order to activate the initial download
sequence.
The button or link you click, may say DOWNLOAD or
PLAY NOW, it all depends on the individual
site.

Once you have selected
to download the software, a small window will appear on
your screen with the options to RUN , OPEN or SAVE, or
CANCEL the file download.
The easiest way is to
get started at this stage, is to select RUN or
OPEN, if ithey are available for you to select.
Once you have clicked
RUN or OPEN, The software download will start and you
will be prompted to choose where on your pc that you want
the program installed on your pc or laptop.
Once you have chosen a
suitable folder, (it's wise to make a note of where )
then software will install directly to your computer and
you may be required to accept T&C's.
Once installed, if the
poker software doesn't open itself automatically, then
you may have to go to the icon or program name in the
programs menu on your pc and open it like any other
program.

opened and you can see the poker site on your screen, you
will then have to 'login' to the software OR create a
'new player account' in order to get in to play..
Selecting
Save
After clicking on the
download button on the poker site, when the windo pop up
appears and you select save, the poker site will
send your computer an 'exe file'.
This file is required to start the download process of
the poker software to your pc and it's very important
that you can find the file once it has been sent to you.

required to indicate where you want this exe file saved
on your pc.
At this stage it's a good idea to write down where you
choose to save the exe file and make a note of it its
name.
Once you have selected your spot on your pc, the Exe file
will be sent to your pc very quicky and you may be left
thinking that nothing has happenned.
Now you need to go to
the folder on your pc where you just saved the exe
file and double click on it to activate it.
You must be connected to
the internet for the exe file to work.
Once clicked on, you may be asked if you want to continue
with the download..select yes.
The exe file will now
automatically start the download process from the poker
site to your pc and normally only takes a minute or two
at most.
Once the software is
installing, it is important to leave it do its own thing
BUT you can cancel the install at anytime and go back to
the exe file another time and simply click on it again to
activate the download process.
Once the install is
complete, the poker software program will either open
automatically OR you will have to locate the file to open
it. This will either be in your programs menu, on the
desktop screen OR in another folder that you may have
specified during the instalation.
Now that you have the
installed software and opened it, you will then be required
to create your new player account by selecting 'create
account' or 'new player'. . Then fill out the basic player
account set up form and make sure you write all your details
down for future reference. Once this has been acheived, all
you have to do then is 'login' to the software with your new
player name and your password, and either start playing free
poker OR add a deposit option to enable you to play for real
money stakes.
And that's it.
So long as you take your time and remember where the exe
file has been saved, you should not have any problems.

When you finish playing poker, you will need to 'log out' of
the software and then close it like you would any other
program on your pc. With the software closed, you can now
open it again at any time so long as you are connected to
